A driver took a car to his residence without authorisation on a Friday. He kept the car at his residence during the week-end without prior approval instead of leaving it in the parking. The said car met with an accident on Sunday. The driver reported to the police that the car was stolen from his place.
Police enquiry revealed that at the time of the accident, the car was being driven by an unauthorized person who happened to be the driver’s brother-in-law and did not hold a driving license.
The car was declared a total loss. Besides, there has been damage to concrete walls of a private residence, Central Electricity poles and Mauritius Telecom poles.
